National Poetry Week - Part 3
i.
Lovefield airspace
the baby cries no louder
than its mother
ii.
meeting my birth mum
the cabbie talks about
spring equinoxes
iii.
baby photographs
I find another cool spot
in the pillow
iv.
cider and beer
we talk about us again
as brother and sister
v.
coming into land
so many sunrises
over rooftops
vi.
Brisbane airport
the quarantine dog handler's
brief jealously
vii.
Perth grasslands
rainbow lorikeets block my walk
with squabbles
viii.
death of a friend
now I wonder how long
with my birth mum
Alan Summers
